Darkness to Light’s Stewards of Children

Stewards of Children® is an evidence-based prevention training that teaches adults how to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse. We know that when adults are informed, they take steps to protect children from sexual abuse. During the award-winning Steward of Children prevention training, you will hear from survivors who lived through child sexual abuse, experienced its immediate and long-term effects, and ultimately were able to find healing. You will hear from experts who work with children and families and confront abuse on a daily basis. Lastly, you will find concrete steps that you can take to protect the children in your life. Stewards of Children is the flagship prevention program by Darkness to Light (D2L). This event is offered virtually.
CEUs: Approved nationally/KDHE Childcare Licensing approved hours. BSRB approved.
Target Audience: Parents, youth-serving organizations and educators that wish to train staff and volunteers in child sexual abuse prevention and/or enhance child protection policies and procedures, anyone who wants to make a difference in their community by educating adults about the protection of children.
