04 May 2010 Brews & Brats for Tots Huge Success...
As the crowd swelled, it became standing room only at the CAC/Linkhaus Brews & Brats for Tots fundraiser. Linkhaus staff circulated with trays of out-of-this-world gourmet hotdogs and bratwurst and taste tickling tator tots bedecked with everything from curry and radishes to a sweet & tangy salsa. There were even naked dogs available for the more tender of palettes and liquid libations flowed freely for those in need of a long cool drink. Through the generosity of Linkhaus, Dr. Eyster, Mike Ramsey, the Linkhaus Crew and, of course, the wonderful supporters of the CAC, the fundraiser was a huge success.

Child abuse services, as it stands today, are scattered throughout Wichita. What's wrong with Sedgwick County?

15 Jan 2009 Community Awareness on the Rise
With the close of the year, the Child Advocacy Center of Sedgwick County saw a much-appreciated increase in community awareness and financial assistance. Strides in creating better understanding of the needs of child victims were made through lectures and presentations by the CACSC’s Executive Director, Diana Schunn. The Wichita Crime Commission, Sedgwick County Commissioners and Downtown Rotary Club were a few of the groups she met with. Local media called upon Diana as an expert in the field of child abuse. She provided expert commentary on such topics as child homicides in Sedgwick County, the CACSC’s role in caring for child victims, and defining "normal" emotional responses from child victims of abuse.
